Cameron Kennedy grew up in the Pacific Northwest fishing with his father and friends and has mastered several techniques specific to the PNW such as; floating the coastal rivers chasing the elusive and acrobatic winter steelhead, backtrolling and bobber fishing for coastal fall chinook, or chasing steelhead and salmon the the Columbia and Willamette River.  

Imagine yourself floating down a coastal river, sun creeping up over the mountains, and fog lifting off the river as you float through. All of a sudden your bobber drains and you hear Cameron yell “get him”! Or picture yourself sitting in Cameron’s 24 foot open sled, back trolling bait for spring Chinook, when a spring salmon start biting your bait, as he tells you to “wait, wait, wait.. ok grab it!” 

Cameron has spent his entire life targeting steelhead, salmon, and sturgeon with a great passion. He teaches techniques such as back trolling bait and plugs, back bouncing eggs, trolling herring, anchovies, and spinners. You will also experience bobber fishing for salmon and steelhead using eggs, jigs, beads or the old scrumptious sand shrimp. 

Cameron takes great pride in using top of the line fishing gear and products. Okuma guide selects rods paired with either Okuma low pro, or Diawa Lexa Reels is what he prefers. You will be fishing out of a 24’ Alumaweld Columbia with a 250HP Yamaha VMAX, paired with a Yamaha 9.9 kicker which can fish up to 6 people.
